How it Works for Students

One Gift at a Time
Looking forward to birthdays, holidays, and graduation day? Become a member of Lily’s List and invite friends and family to give one of the smartest gifts they can give–a direct deposit into your personal Student Loan Account. Through Lily’s List, your support network really can make a difference, one gift at a time.

Have a Student Loan? Become a Member!
Anyone with a current student loan can become a Lily’s List member. Membership is $15 per year, and is activated when your student loan status is verified through our registration process. Membership allows you to use our site for fundraising, networking and allowing monetary contributions to be deposited directly into your student loan account. Gifts received through Lily’s List do not take the place of your required monthly payments to your loan institution.

Be your own Personal Fundraiser
As a member, you will create your own Personal Fundraising Page (PFP) and invite friends and family to view your page, encouraging them to make a donation to your student loan account. Your PFP can include information such as your school, year of graduation, career path, accomplishments and interests. It also will include a financial goal thermometer that is updated each time you receive a gift. Click here for additional tips on creating a great Personal Fundraising Page!

Receiving Gifts
You will be immediately notified of any gifts received, but please allow 3-10 business days for deposits to be credited into your loan account. You will be able to send acknowledgments to thank your donors from your PFP, unless a donor has chosen to remain anonymous.

How to Register your Account with us
To ensure proper routing of your gift donations, you must send us a current copy of your student loan statement and/or payment coupon which includes the account holder’s full name, *account number, loan institution address, and current loan balance. For loans held by banks, you will need to provide the **electronic routing number of the loan institution.

* Some student loans use Social Security Numbers as account numbers. If you provide us with your FULL SSN, your donations can be processed electronically, and you will receive your gift donations more quickly. If you do not wish to register using your full SSN, you may use the circled number shown in this example; however, gift donations may need to be processed by check via US mail.

** Routing numbers are not necessary for loans held by the (U.S.) Dept of Education

Membership Renewal
Lily’s List will notify you when your membership is about to expire. To renew your membership, you will not be required to re-register; however, you will need to confirm your continued eligibility by sending a recent loan statement in one of 4 ways;
