Informed Consent :) Hello all, I am currently a licensed associate professional counselor who provides individual/family/group therapy and I absolutely love what I do! I am blessed to have the opportunity to sit with people, help them through their struggles, and watch them have life changing moments. The only bad part about what I do is the amount of money I am paid vs. what I need to pay off this huge debt. I, unfortunately, bought into the lie that student loan debt was soooo much better than credit card debt... Well I have absolutely no credit card debt, yet I still am experiencing the weight of the burden that is private loan debt. I understand that many people out there are going through a difficult time financially and I only believe in giving from the heart. So if at any point you feel led to donate to me, then it will be greatly appreciated! Thank you for your time. "Receiving Gifts- Counselors understand the challenges of accepting gifts from clients and recognize that in some cultures, small gifts are a token of respect and showing gratitude. When determining whether or not to accept a gift from clients, counselors take into account the therapeutic relationship, the monetary value of the gift, a client’s motivation for giving the gift, and the counselor’s motivation for wanting or declining the gift."
